NEW GLARUS — Friends of the Badger and Sugar River State Trails is looking for volunteers for a “Girls Love State Parks” event today, Saturday, Sept. 11 involving biking on the Sugar River Trail.

A few details:

● Location: New Glarus train station trailhead

● Time: Girls will be there 9 a.m. to noon, with some setup/takedown time

● Bike rides: Two short rides at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., focus on trail safety

● Drop-in activities: Painting bird houses, poetry, & bark rubbing
