MONROE - The AARP TaxAide program is seeking a few more volunteers to work in Brodhead, Albany and Monroe.
The program assists elderly and low-income persons in filing their tax returns and homestead credit claims. Volunteers generally work one day each week, using the library in Brodhead and the senior center in Monroe as the main sites. Computers and software are provided.
A three-day training session will be available with up-to-date tax law changes and volunteers will practice doing returns. There is also an additional day for new volunteers to learn and practice with the software. Only simple returns and homesteads are done.
For more information or to sign up, contact Joan Flood at 608-897-3882, Jean Margaret Beech at merrellbeech@gmail.com or Bill Burwitz at wrburwitz@mchsi.com.
