United Way golf outing scheduled

BRODHEAD - The United Way of Green County, Inc. seventh annual Golf Outing and Golf Ball Drop/Raffle is planned for Aug. 21 at Decatur Lake Golf Course and Country Club in Brodhead. Registration and lunch begin at 11 a.m. with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The golf ball drop follows at approximately 6 p.m. Rain date is Thursday, Aug. 27.

The Golf Ball Drop prizes include, a Badger football package. There is also a Golf four-some at Galena's Beautiful Eagle Ridge; a Green County shopping spree; party for six in the Madison Mallards Duck Blind; Badger men's basketball tickets; Brewer tickets; autographed Packer items and more. Raffle tickets are $5 or five for $20.

To register for golf, call the United Way at (608) 325-7747 or e-mail at unitedway@pecbell.com. The $75 golf fee includes: green fee/18 holes, cart, lunch, T-shirt and gift bag.

In order to make this outing financially successful, flag events are sponsored on every hole throughout the Decatur Lake Country Club golf course. Sponsors are provided signage at the tee box on the hole they are sponsoring and receive printed recognition in the outing program. Anyone interested in sponsoring a hole may contact the United Way.
