MONROE - The cantata "Joseph" will be presented by Union Presbyterian Church, 2070 5th St., at the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Dec. 16.
The cantata tells the story of Joseph, through narration and songs. A descendant of King David, his family home was in Bethlehem. Sometime during his early life, he migrated to Nazareth where the story begins.
Those singing in the choir are Susan Anderson, Bobbie Bernet, Hans Bernet, Sara Bodell, Dennis Cappel, Larry Coffey, Tina Duemler, Jonna Heins, Cindi Miller, Daryl Miller, Jeri Miller, Jo Ellen Mosher, Paul Nelson, Kathy Reffue, Brad Richardson, Marilyn Sandin-Ross, Jacob Scherer, Donna Schluesche, George Vernon, Corrine Wartenweiler, Vincent Wartenweiler and Elaine Wuethrich. Soloist are Anderson and Miller with narration by Jacob Scherer. The choir is accompanied by Mary Soddy and directed by Maynard Heins.
