MONROE — The Monroe United Methodist Church will host a Classical Piano Concert by Nazi survivor Nina Kanyeva from 4 to 5:15 p.m. Jan. 27 at the church, 2227 4th St.
Nina spent two of her preschool years in a Nazi slave labor camp, where she saved her mother’s life twice. She will perform 20 classical piano pieces by a variety of composers. Some of her experiences under Hitler and Stalin will also be recounted.
