Two New Glarus HS students score a perfect 36 on the ACT
New Glarus

NEW GLARUS — Annabelle Smith and Elizabeth Smith, New Glarus High School Class of 2025, recently scored a perfect 36 on the 2024 Spring ACT test that is required for all juniors in the state of Wisconsin. The highest score one can receive is a 36 and both reached this milestone during the junior testing session in March.

In addition to achieving a perfect score on the ACT, Annabelle and Elizabeth are both accomplished scholars and participants in Battle of the Books. In 2023, Annabelle and Elizabeth took second place in the State of Wisconsin in the Battle of the Books competition. This year, Annabelle and Elizabeth were part of a team that finished first overall in the competition.

In addition to the two perfect scores, three students from the Class of 2025 scored a 35 on the ACT.  Those students are Camryn Arnett, Emma Mondloch, and Amalia Morrison.
