Although small, Switzerland is a country of four national languages: German (Swiss-German), French, Italian, and Romansch, with about 63% of the country speaking Swiss-German. A referendum, set before the public with less than honorable intentions, seeks to designate only one language as the official Swiss language. With the majority of the population speaking Swiss-German, chaos erupts when the referendum results reveal that the new official language will be...French. The plot takes a number of unexpected twists and turns, with plenty of laughable moments which only highlight the absurdness of the whole premise of one language.
