MILWAUKEE - Many school districts are hiring individuals with college degrees, but not teaching degrees, to work as substitute teachers.
Three one-day substitute teacher training programs are being offered. This training fulfills the Department of Public Instruction's requirement of training for persons with a bachelors degree (but not a teaching degree) and qualifies them for a three-year substitute teacher permit.
One day training programs are scheduled on:
8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at Alverno College, 3401 South 39th St., Milwaukee
8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Elizabeth Inn, Plover
8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 24, UW-Waukesha, 1500 N. University Drive, Waukesha
