FREEPORT - The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club will sponsor the Train of Terror from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25 and Friday, Oct. 24 at the corner of Walnut and Lamm Roads in Freeport. The train ride has spooky scenes at various locations on both sides of the track.
The last open dates of the 2008 season for the Silvercreek Museum and the SilverCreek and Stephenson Railroad, including the Silver Creek Depot and the Freight House gift shop, are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 25 and 26. Field demonstrations will be held if the weather permits. The Silvercreek Museum will be serving chili, brats, hot dogs, sauerkraut and desert items, all individually priced. Cost to tour the Museum is $3 for adults and children under 12 years are admitted free.
