Jonah Tostrud is awarded a $600 scholarship from Monroe Education Association President Sherri Hendrickson after his first semester at UW-Madison.

MONROE — Monroe Education Association presidents Sherri Hendrickson and James Cassidy announced today that MEA has awarded its annual scholarship to Monroe High School 2018 graduate Jonah Tostrud. 

MEA is a union of teachers working together for educational excellence in Monroe’s public schools. The union’s annual scholarship program awards Monroe High School seniors who exemplify the union’s ideals of academic excellence, community involvement, personal character and lifelong learning. The scholarship is for $600 and was awarded to Jonah after he successfully completed his first semester of higher education study. 

Jonah is currently attending the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Jonah has just finished his first semester and is enjoying his freshman year. During the spring semester, Jonah will begin taking classes specific to his major of civil engineering.
