ORANGEVILLE - Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater will present "A Nice Family Gathering," a comedy by Minnesota playwright Phil Olsen, in September.

The story takes place on Thanksgiving Day at the first family gathering at the Ludeen household since the patriarch died. At the gathering, Dad comes back as a ghost with a mission: to tell his wife he loved her, which he neglected to tell her while he was alive. The problem is she can't hear or see him. Trouble really begins when Mom invites a date to Thanksgiving dinner.

The cast includes Peter Woodruff, Paula Fulton, Melanie Frederick, Reynold Noland, Sam Wool, Amy Jo Beightol, Andy McIver and Glenda Adams.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Sept. 16 and 17 and 2 p.m. Sept. 18. Doors open a half-hour before each show begins.
