FREEPORT - More than 350 eighth grade students from Aquin, Dakota, Freeport Junior High, Immanuel Lutheran, and Orangeville schools will attend the 15th annual Stephenson County Teen Conference on Thursday, March 19, at Highland Community College.
The theme for this year's conference is: "Meet the Challenge of Serving Others." The conference, a springboard for service learning projects that will be planned and executed by the attending conference participants through their school settings, will include service organization booths, hands-on service projects, a keynote speaker, and a time for reflection and service project brainstorming.
