MONROE - Rich Schindler and Jeff Conway of the South Central Wisconsin Tavern League presented Green County Emergency Medical Service with a $200 donation in support of the organization's Arrive Alive Program. Arrive Alive was a safe ride program offered to the community, for free, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. on New Year's Eve.
The program was designed to encourage people in the community to go out, have fun, support the local businesses and enjoy the evening, with a safe and responsible way to get home.
Green County EMS picked up at nine different stops and transported people home safely in the back of their spare ambulance; Alphorn Ford also donated the use of a mini-van to help handle any overflow calls.
All nine of the transports occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 3:15 a.m.
