SWWDB workshops start July 1

FENNIMORE - Are you unemployed or underemployed? The Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board offers pre-assessment workshops to help you learn how your aptitudes, interests, basic education, and employability skills can help in making decisions about work, careers, and education and training programs. These workshops are free and are held in Fennimore, Monroe, and Janesville. Interested persons should contact their local Job Center for more information. Before selecting a workshop, you must pick up a packet, complete the materials, and then sign-up for one of the following sessions:

• Green County Job Center, Monroe (608) 328-9344: 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3 or 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, July 7;

• Grant County Job Center, SWTC Fennimore (608) 822-2418: 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9; Thursday, July 17 or Thursday, July 24;

• Rock County Job Center, Janesville (608) 741-3578: 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays, July 1 or July 22; 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 or July 23, Monday, July 14 or Tuesday, July 15; and 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, July 8, Wednesday, July 16, Friday, July 18 and Monday, July 21.
