MONROE - The next event in Turner Hall of Monroe's 150th celebration is Swiss Movie Night, which will be held at 7:30 p.m. March 23 in the Grand Hall.
The 2005 comedy-adventure, "Mein Name Ist Eugen," more aptly described by the English title "Rascals on the Road," chronicles the adventures of Eugen, Wrigley, Baschteli and Eduard as they search for a treasure and Fritzli Buhler, the "king of rascals." The four, who live in Bern, cook up one prank after the other, leading them through half of Switzerland, always being pursued by concerned parents and the police.
In Swiss-German, the hour-and-a-half film has English subtitles, and although not rated, is comparable to an American G-rating. It was the third most successful Swiss-produced film of all time. There is no admission charge, but a free-will donation will be accepted for the Turner Hall's Swiss Heritage Series.
