The Main Street Monroe Farmer’s Market was flush with vendors and shoppers on Saturday, May 18. The market is held Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 12-3 p.m. on Wednesdays on Monroe’s downtown square.
On Saturdays, over 20 vendors sell the freshest Wisconsin-grown produce, plants, flowers, baked goods, meats, and cheese. Crafts, arts, pottery, and other hand-made items are also available. At the height of the season, the market brings more than 2,000 shoppers downtown weekly. Local vendors sell a wide variety of producer-only items like fresh vegetables, microgreens, fruit, flowers and plants, homemade baked goods, canned items, soaps, wood art, embroidery, jewelry and knit/crocheted items.
Upcoming events this summer include Cars on the Square on Friday, June 7 and seven Concerts on the Square, which begins June 8.
The theme for the square this summer is “Realms of Downtown: Fantasy & Magic.”
