For the last few years, when held at the Monroe Middle School, the summer school has offered bowling classes at Turner Hall. 

Terry Thoman, who works at Turner Hall, makes sure all students get the opportunity to bowl, even those in wheelchairs. He said he particularly enjoys helping the younger bowlers and loves seeing how much they improve throughout the summer. “I’ve got some kids that are really learning …,” Thoman said.

He also enjoyed teaching students how to keep score on paper instead of using the machine.
