MONROE — The School District of Monroe has named 115 students in grades five, eight and 12 as Presidential Academic Achievement Award winners. 

The President’s Education Awards program recognizes students who have made a personal commitment to excellence. 

To receive this recognition, students must maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average for their respective elementary, middle and high school careers.
