MONROE - Rachel Steiner, a student at Argyle High School, recently won the essay contest sponsored by the Monroe Noon Optimists.

Steiner received the $150 local prize for her essay titled "How Can I Help My Friends Realize Their Value?" The essay will be entered at the district contest with the possibility of winning a $2,500 scholarship.
