MONROE - Area snowmobile enthusiasts have been sidelined the past couple of years due to poor snow conditions, but a big storm before the holidays proved to be a big help for snowmobile riders. Danny VanHouten, president of the local club Stateline Trailblazers, received numerous phone calls from people as far away as Indiana asking for information about lodging and access to the trails.
Stateline Trailblazers is responsible for 130 miles of trail located in Green County.
The club held its Ladies Ride, when 22 ladies hit the trails for a day that included prizes. The club had its annual fundraising holiday party at Cardinal Lanes in Brodhead that included a pig roast and raffles for prizes donated by local businesses. It also had its Vintage Rid on Feb. 9
