MONROE - St. Victor School students are joining in the fight against cancer by raising money and walking the school parking lot beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14. St. Victor students are holding a "Mini-Relay," which is an abbreviated version of the American Cancer Society's national signature activity, Relay For Life. Students have been collecting donations throughout the last three months.
The "Mini-Relay" will be an all-day event complete with music, refreshments, picnic lunch, decorations, flowers and a fun culminating activity. Students will turn their principal into a human hot dog if their goal is reached. They are looking forward to the opportunity to squirt ketchup and mustard on the 'man in charge'!
Green County will hold a Relay For Life Event in June. The money raised by the students will be donated to Relay For Life in the name of their school Relay for Life Team.
