MONROE - In an effort to end hunger in Green County and around the world, St. John's United Church of Christ has partnered with World Church Service to hold an annual CROP Hunger Walk in Monroe.
This year's CROP Walk will begin with registration at noon Oct. 2.
Monroe's CROP Walk consists of two walking routes for participants to choose from: A 2.5-mile and 5-mile route around Monroe. Participants are encouraged to get the entire family involved and help raise money and nonperishable food items to be given to the Green County Food Pantry and communities around the globe.
Registration will begin in the parking lot of St. John's at noon Oct. 2. There will be music, cake and a food sculpture contest. For more information, contact Janelle Massey at 608-214-6789.
