St. John’s to host annual bazaar, dinner

LENA, Illinois — St. John’s Lutheran Church’s annual bazaar and beef and noodle dinner will be held on Nov. 5 at the church, 625 Country Lane. The bazaar opens at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and rolls served from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., and lasts until 1 p.m. Dinner will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The menu includes beef and noodles, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetable, Jell-O salad, relishes, dinner roll, brownie, pie or angel food cake, coffee or milk. Children 5 and under are free. Carry-outs are available by calling 815-369-4035. Call ahead for six or more dinners. Local delivery only.

A drawing will be held: first prize is “Winning Hand” Quilt; second prize is a Christmas wall hanging. The drawing will be held at the bazaar.

St. John’s Bazaar offers homemade noodles, baked goods, homemade candy, Thanksgiving and Christmas items, crafts and other handmade items.

Flu shots will be given from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. by FHN, as well as free blood pressure screenings.

St. John’s is a handicapped accessible facility.
