MONROE - St. John's United Church of Christ will celebrate the birth of Christ with four separate services Dec. 24.
A Children's Pageant will be part of the 9 a.m. worship service in the church sanctuary. The pageant will tell the Christmas story through the eyes of the innkeeper. Members of the youth choir, confirmation class and youth group will present the play directed by Rev. Tiff Bates. There will be no 8 or 10:30 a.m. services.
A worship service will be held at 4 p.m. at St. Clare Friedensheim Chapel, 2003 4th St.
Christmas Eve candlelight services will be held at 7 and 9 p.m. at the church.
The 7 p.m. communion service will feature the Circle of Friends. The 9 p.m. service will feature the Sanctuary Choir and Hand Bell Choir.
All services are open to the public.
