SSM Health invites community members of all ages and abilities to join its volunteer team, offering meaningful opportunities to support patients, families, visitors, and staff throughout the main Monroe campus. 

Immediate openings include these roles:

●  Clinic Front Desk: greet patients, assist with wheelchairs, answer questions, and provide way-finding support.

●  Cardiac Rehab: assist staff and patients through non-clinical tasks and positive engagement.

●  Café and Guest Refreshment Services: offer hospitality and helping maintain a warm, customer-friendly atmosphere. 

●  Environmental Services: help with organization, stocking, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. 

●  Opportunities also exist in guest relations, comfort support, clerical assistance, and other service departments.

Community members interested in volunteering must complete an application, interview, background check, and orientation, and meet vaccination requirements. 

If under 18, they must provide guardian consent. Student volunteers may also earn service hours for school or project requirements.

Volunteering at SSM Health offers the chance to make a direct and positive impact on the patient experience, build relationships with healthcare professionals, gain exposure to a hospital environment, and contribute meaningful service to the community.
