MONROE — SSM Health Monroe Hospital, SSM Health St. Clare Hospital-Baraboo and SSM Health Waupun Memorial Hospital earned a 5-star rating for nurse communication from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The rating is based on data collected in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey and reflects how well patients felt their nurses explained things clearly, listened carefully, and treated them with courtesy and respect.
“Our nurses understand that healing begins with connection,” shared Jane Curran-Meuli, President of SSM Health Monroe Hospital. “Their ability to build relationships is at the heart of what makes SSM Health a trusted place for care and this recognition affirms the power of that commitment.”
The 5-star rating highlights the compassionate, patient-centered care that defines SSM Health’s commitment to excellence.
Only 529 hospitals in the U.S. received a 5-star rating for nurse communication. More than 4,000 hospitals across the country are surveyed and rated across ten categories using HCAHPS data.
