MONROE — The School District of Monroe is proud to announce a generous $50,000 sponsorship agreement with CG Schmidt that will enhance both the student experience and post-secondary opportunities for Monroe High School graduates.

As part of the agreement, approximately $35,000 will fund the installation of a state-of-the-art video scorer’s table in the new Monroe High School Fieldhouse. This integrated, courtside display system replaces a traditional scorer’s table with a programmable LED panel capable of showcasing real-time game information, graphics, and video content. Positioned along the sideline of the fieldhouse, the system connects to the scoreboard and media controls to display team names, scores, player statistics, sponsor recognition, and school branding.

The video scorer’s table will significantly enhance the game-day atmosphere for students, families, and community members. In addition to athletic events, it will serve as a versatile communication platform for assemblies and special events — highlighting student achievements, promoting school activities, and strengthening community engagement through dynamic visual content.

The remaining $15,000 of CG Schmidt’s sponsorship will directly support Monroe High School graduates pursuing careers in the skilled trades. These funds will be distributed as scholarships over the next three years, helping to reduce financial barriers and encourage students to enter high-demand career fields.

CG Schmidt has played a vital role in bringing the new Monroe High School to life, serving as the contractor for this transformative project. Throughout the construction process, their team has demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship, professionalism, and a deep commitment to quality. Their work reflects a clear sense of pride in developing a facility that will serve not only students, but the entire Monroe community for generations to come. The new high school stands as a testament to their dedication to building spaces that function as true community assets.

“This partnership with CG Schmidt represents a meaningful investment in both our facilities and our students’ futures,” said Superintendent Joe Monroe. “The video scorer’s table will elevate the experience in our new fieldhouse and create new opportunities to celebrate our students and community. Just as importantly, the scholarship support reflects a strong commitment to career pathways in the trades, which are essential to our local and regional workforce.”

The School District of Monroe extends its sincere appreciation to CG Schmidt for its continued partnership, generosity, and commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and community connections.
