SOUTH WAYNE - The price for a First-Class Mail stamp will increase by a one cent to 42 cents on May 12. However, customers who put the Forever Stamp on their first class letter will get it delivered, regardless of when they purchased the stamp.
"Consumers can continue to use Forever Stamps they purchased for 41 cents even after the price change," said South Wayne Postmaster Barbra Studer. "The Postal Service developed the Forever Stamp for consumers to ease the transition during price changes. So avoid the lines and the last minute rush and save money in the process. Pick up a couple of books next time you stop by."
