South Wayne blood drive collects 42 pints

SOUTH WAYNE - The Red Cross Blood Drive at Marty's Village Inn on Aug. 2 was successful. The quota for the day was 41; 42 pints were collected from 43 potential donors presenting. There were no new donors or milestone gallons met.

Donors presenting were Dick Leuzinger, Cheryl Dale, Grant Dale, Judith White, Joan Kent, Richard Fernstaedt, Donna Ernst, Larry Burkhalter, Sue Gerloff, Jackie Boss, Connie Meier, Daryl Miller, Steve Lenzen, Ken Schmitz, Elaine Renken, Dave Renken, Don Seffrood, Tom Wellnitz, Carol Ruegsegger, Janet Gobel, Jim Meier, Herb Tornow, Jim Magee, Betty Lehman, Mary McKnight, Helen Ladow, Gene Montgomery, Tim Meylor, Al Melland, John Ganshert, Margaret Miller, Deb Thompson, Tricia Gibson, Lonnie Stauffer, Jack Hagen, Sarah Vosberg, Monica Kock, Donna Wyss, Karen Signer, Janice Payne, David Kaempfer, Steve Ruegsegger, and Steve Becktolt.

Donating to the canteen were Valley View, cheese; South Wayne Mart, milk; St. John's Catholic (Jan Mathys and Sharon Metz), sandwiches; Carole Broge, sandwiches and cookies; Susie Junk, cookies; Joyce Paulson, sandwiches; and Connie Meier, sausage, crackers, cookies and coffee.

Volunteers for the day were Junk, Paulson and Meier.
