Sons of Norway to meet at UPC

Bill Amundson will present at the Sons of Norway meeting Sept. 12 at the Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Amundson will entertain with insights about growing up in Wisconsin, leaving his roots and eventually returning to the state.

MONROE — Monroe Sons of Norway Ostestaden Lodge will hold a special meeting Thursday, Sept. 12 at Union Presbyterian Church in Monroe.

Storyteller, artist, humorist and entertainer Bill Amundson will present a program on “Growing Up Norwegian in Wisconsin.” Amundson, who has moved back to Stoughton after living in Colorado for many years, will use slides, video and music to entertain with his insights about growing up in Stoughton, leaving those roots behind for many years, and now once again being “back home” in Wisconsin. 

This is a free program open to the public. The lodge meets at 6:30 p.m. for coffee and treats before the presentation which will begin at 7 p.m.
