MONROE - The Aging and Disability Resource Center announced the addition of a new shuttle that will travel to Freeport on Monday, June 9.
The shuttle is open to the public, but priority will be given to those who are 55 years and older and disabled. For those who live in Monroe, door-to-door pick-up is available; everyone else living in Green County can meet the shuttle at 9:30 a.m. at Green County Human Services, N3152 State Rd 81, Monroe.
The shuttle cost is $6, which covers round-trip travel to and from Freeport and transportation around town. Available stops include JoAnn Fabrics and Crafts, Wal-Mart, Menards and Meadows Shopping Center, which includes JCPenney, Serendipity, Maurices, Shoe Sensation and Book World.
The shuttle will also stop at Union Dairy for lunch at 12:30 p.m. and return to Monroe by 2 p.m.
