ST. LOUIS — Shullsburg farmer Tim Appell was recently honored among the region’s highest-producing soybean farmers in the 2024 Asgrow Brand National Yield Contest. Appell won the award with an impressive yield of 101 bushels per acre with Asgrow AG26XF4 Brand.

“We congratulate Tim on this impressive performance and appreciate all farmers who entered the contest,” said Asgrow Brand Manager Brittany Eubank. “The Asgrow brand has an unwavering focus on soybeans and how we can produce high performance and return on investment for farmers.”

The annual contest is open to any U.S. farmer who plants Asgrow brand soybeans. Most of the entries were with Asgrow XtendFlex soybeans.

Among 56 farmers receiving awards, 20 achieved yields of more than 100 bushels per acre in the 2024 contest. Debuting in 2012, the Asgrow Brand National Yield Contest encourages farmers to push soybean yield limits. The contest provides farmers the opportunity to innovate and learn more about the latest input technology and management practices for continuing advances in agricultural production.
