ALBANY - Tom Mitchell of Monroe will share information about his grandfather, Allen E. Mitchell, when he appears at the Tuesday, March 16 membership meeting of Albany Historical Society. Visitors are welcome for this program which will begin at 7 p.m. in the Museum, 119 N. Water St. in downtown Albany.
A short business meeting will precede Mitchell's talk. Allen E. Mitchell was Captain of Wisconsin Company H in World War I and, on his return from service, was elected Sheriff of Green County. He led a distinguished life which his grandson, Tom, is proud to recall at the March 16 gathering.
