Shakespeare Project to meet Friday

MONROE - The Adult Shakespeare Project has grown out of the work of the Shakespeare Project for youth and teens in the past five years at Primitive Soul Art Studio. As of November 2008, the Shakespeare Project has its own non-profit status (501(c)3) and is now called Shakespeare on the Edge.

The Adult Shakespeare Project brings adults together to explore the arts, explore the art of Shakespeare, do a little improv, talk about our lives, our communities, all while having a fun time. No experience needed. Participants will co-create this experience.

The Adult Shakespeare Project meets for seven weeks at Shakespeare on the Edge (in Primitive Soul Art Studio at 1512 11th Street, right off the square). The Project meets from 6:30-8 p.m. on Fridays from Jan. 9, through Feb. 20. Call 325-5268 as the first meeting may be delayed until Friday, Jan. 16. The cost is $50 an individual. If you join with a friend, the cost is $40 for you and $40 for a friend.

Register by calling Shakespeare on the Edge at 325-5268 and leave a voice mail message.
