Green County Sheriff Mark Rohloff recognized five deputies - Justin Bachtell, Aaron King, Cody Kanable, Scott Maresch and Tanner Gilbert - with a Life Saving Award during a Green County Supervisors Board meeting Dec. 11 at the Green County Courthouse.

All five deputies were granted the award and received a standing ovation from the supervisors and roughly a dozen public attendees. Rohloff himself received a standing ovation from the board at the end of the meeting for his five years as sheriff. He will step down in January after being defeated in the Nov. 6 election by former sheriff Jeff Skatrud.
