The Jo Daviess County Senior Expo will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, June 4 at the Galena Elementary and Middle School, 1230 Franklin Street in Galena.

GALENA — The Senior Resource Center recently announced the Jo Daviess County Senior Expo, a free and informative community event designed to connect older adults, caregivers, and families with vital resources and services. 

The Jo Daviess County Senior Expo will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, June 4 at the Galena Elementary and Middle School located at 1230 Franklin Street in Galena. The Expo will feature numerous area organizations dedicated to serving seniors and focused on aging well in northwest Illinois. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with experts across a variety of essential services, including:

●  Assisted and Independent Living

●  Health Insurance & Financial Planning

●  Home Care

●  Medical Equipment & Mobility Solutions

●  Hospice Care

●  Financial Planning

●  Aging In Place Home Improvements

●  Physical Therapy

●  Free Meals

●  Recreational Activities

The Senior Lifestyle Expo aims to empower older adults by educating them about the services and supports available in northwest Illinois. It’s a welcoming environment where individuals can ask questions, gather information, and find the help they need. Attendees will also enjoy free health screenings and giveaways, and the chance to win door prizes. The event is organized by the Senior Resource Center. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.

“We’re excited to provide this opportunity for community members to learn about the many programs, services, and supports available to them,” said Amanda Faivre, executive director of the Senior Resource Center. “Whether you’re planning for the future or need help today, this event is a great place to start.”

The event is open to everyone, and no registration is required.
