PLATTEVILLE - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville awarded scholarships to its returning students for the 2012-13 academic year.
Area students awarded schorships were: Patrick Gellings, Monroe, who won the Elizabeth Duewer Biology Scholarship, totaling $500; Daniel Hammer, Darlington, who won the Andrew Wimer Memorial Scholarship, totaling $500; Meaghan McGuire, Brodhead, who won the Catherine Cassidy Burgess Scholarship, totaling $500; Lucas Menzel, Brodhead, who won the Orton and Frances Keyes Scholarship, totaling $500; Anna Sherman, Brodhead, who won the Boyd Spikerman Memorial Scholarship, totaling $500.
