“Shell Mound” is a 28-inch by 38-inch painting oil on canvas by Wisconsin artist Douglas Whittle. Whittle’s solo exhibition will be on display at Monroe Arts Center from April 19-June 8.

MONROE — A solo exhibition by Wisconsin Painter, Douglas Whittle, will take place at the Monroe Arts Center in Monroe from April 19-June 8.

There will be an opening reception at the Monroe Arts Center on Friday, April 19, from 5-7 p.m., with a brief artist’s talk at 5:30 on that day.

Whittle’s work is based predominantly on representations of the landscape, but the exhibit will also include his vibrant non-objective paintings as a counterpoint.
