Sanders named ‘Champion’ of Wisconsin oral health

MONROE — Fowler Dental Clinic Board President and Monroe Clinic President & CEO Mike Sanders has earned the Wisconsin Oral Health Coalition’s 2019 Warren LeMay Oral Health Champion Award. The annual award is given to an individual or organization that exemplifies WOHC’s mission to create meaningful change, to improve oral health and access to care in Wisconsin. 

FDC provides free dental services to children in low-income families in Green and Lafayette Counties. Since opening in 2009, FDC has served over 700 children providing over $640,000 in dental services. 

FDC’s growth and community impact reflects Sanders’ steadfast leadership and guidance as the FDC board president. With his years of dedicated service on the board, Sanders helped Fowler Dental Clinic overcome many challenges. 

This includes facilitating the move to a new location on the Monroe Clinic campus, access to Monroe Clinic’s surgical suites and active pursuit of dental professionals to support the Fowler Dental Clinic and its mission.
