Eugene and Nancy Salzwedel, Monroe, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 11, 2012.

Eugene and the former Nancy Reed were married Aug. 11, 1962.

The couple has five children: Steve (JoAnne), Juda; Pam Pehl, Juda; Tom (Brenda), Monroe; Stephanie (Travis) Bachim, Monroe; and Greg, decreased. They have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will celebrate the anniversary with a family dinner.
