Former Mayor Bill Ross, center, stands with a group of tourists from Illinois on Wednesday, June 2. The group of 35 was organized by Ross who guided them through the history of Monroe, Swiss heritage, and cheese making. Ross is also a local author, who has written over a dozen mystery books taking place in Monroe. They are available to purchase at The Local Joint, Frame ‘n Color, and Toy Haus, with all sales supporting Main Street Monroe’s community development efforts downtown.
