NEW GLARUS - The 10th anniversary of A Gathering of Rogues and Ruffians: A Renaissance Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 14 and 15 at the Wilhelm Tell Grounds, W5199 County W, New Glarus.

The event celebrates the arts and a history of the Renaissance. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 4-12 and free for ages 3 and younger. Weekend passes are $15 and $8.

All are welcome to attend in costume. Activities will include horseback riding, archery, shopping, artisans and merchants. Food and drinks will also be themed.

Children can build a life-size castle with artist Stuart Hellwig, visit a witch's lair, learn history, be in a stage show and more. The knight parade will be at 4:05 p.m. Saturday and a belly-dance class will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Several other activities are planned.
