MONROE — The Colonel Benjamin Harrison Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution encourage everyone to Celebrate National Constitution Week: September 17-23 National Constitution Week is an annual observance held from September 17th -23rd, to honor the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. On that historic day, church bells rang across Philadelphia to celebrate the birth of a new nation grounded in democracy, individual rights, and the rule of law.
This week invites all Americans to reflect on the enduring principles that shape our democracy. As the oldest written national constitution still in use, the U.S. Constitution stands as a testament to the foresight of its framers and the flexibility of its design. It has guided our nation through centuries of social, political, and technological changes.
