Resilient Farm Women Workshop to address challenges from current economic pressures

MONROE — The Resilient Farm Women Workshop is a collaboration between Monroe Clinic and the UW-Extension. 

It is the second in a series of meetings designed to address the challenges resulting from the current economic pressures farm families in the region are experiencing. 

The workshop is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at the United Methodist Church, 2227 4th St., Monroe. Lunch is provided. Registration required by calling 608-328-9440 or 608-776-4820.

Experts will present on topics including farm succession planning, managing people and handling conflict situations. Keynote speaker Chris Clarke-Epstein, a Wisconsin native with rural ties and sensibilities will offer a realistic way to approach change and manage it for positive results. The day will wrap up with a panel discussion and conversation on practical next steps.
