MONROE - Green County 4-H is celebrating National 4-H Week Oct. 4-10. The fifth annual Green County 4-H F.A.R.E. (Fun Activities Reward Everyone in 4-H) event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Green County Fairgrounds, 2600 10th St. Monroe.

Many local 4-H youth will connect with the community by being on hand to demonstrate their knowledge and skills with a variety of different 4-H project areas on hand.

After the F.A.R.E., everyone is invited to attend the Green County 4-H night at the Green County YMCA from 7-9 p.m. where youth and adults can enjoy some fun swimming and taking in some recreational activities during the open gym.

Cost is free to all participants if they bring a non-4-H friend; otherwise it is $2 per person.

Children under 5 and adults are free.
