BROWNTOWN - Friends Of Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area will hold a 5K/10K trail run Saturday, Aug. 27, at Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area, N2241 Cadiz Springs Road, Browntown, with check-in at 8:45 a.m. and the race start at 10 a.m.
The course will consist mostly of mowed grass trails in the scenic wooded hills and along the lakeshore, with a short stretch of road and some paved parking lot. Prizes will be awarded to the first-, second-, and third-place male and female winners.
T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by Aug. 14.
The registration fee is $25 if postmarked before Aug. 14, and participants may register on the day of the race for $30. A Wisconsin State Parks vehicle admission sticker will also be needed.
Funds raised by this event will be used to purchase new playground equipment for the park. For more information, call (608) 966-3516.
