Alyssa Quinn, 15, Monroe, daughter of Amy Quinn-Meier and Curt Quinn, was selected a state finalist in the National American Miss Wisconsin Junior Teen Pageant held June 22, at the Marriott West in Middleton.
Pageants are held in each state for girls ages 4 to 18 in five different age divisions. Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition, and setting and achieving personal goals. All activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented.
Quinn placed third runner-up Wisconsin Queen, out of 100 girls, and second runner-up in casual wear modeling. She received trophies for State Finalist, Most Recommendations Award and Spirit of America Award.
Quinn's activities include soccer, tennis, singing, playing the piano and reading.
