DARLINGTON - Prosperity Southwest Wisconsin is offering "Your Keys to Business Success," a two-hour coaching seminar for local business owners and potential new entrepreneurs, at 6 p.m. Feb. 13 in room 202 at the Lafayette County Courthouse.

The session will highlight the opportunities and challenges facing small business owners and entrepreneurs and introduce the many resource partners available to assist these individuals. Interested participants can register by visiting http://bit.ly/2AOMwld. There is a cost.

The session will focus on business planning, access to capital, cash flow management, marketing, staffing and legal guidelines. The seminar is led by Cuba City's Economic Development director Bob Jones and features other economic development professionals, local lending institutions and business advisors.

In addition to the business class, PSW is hosting "Getting Started with Pop Ups" from 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 16 at the Dodger Bowl. This free event presented by Nora Roughen-Schmidt will be a "how-to" session on structuring a successful pop up program in the community. The pop up concept allows new businesses to test out new product concepts and promotes putting vacant retail space to good use. Interested participants can register by visiting http://bit.ly/2DQm0Ha.

This is the first time that business development classes have been held in a series across Prosperity's six-county service area. PSW has held programs in Prairie du Chien, Richland Center and Dodgeville and future topics and classes are being considered.

The Keys to Business Success 2018 Tour will be held March 20 at the Business Incubator, 52 Means Drive, Platteville and April 17 in room 1, UWEX, 2841 6th St., Monroe.
