MONROE - The Monroe Public Library continues the "Puppets and Popcorn" tradition with the tale of "Cinderella" at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at the library, 925 16th Ave.
The program is free and no reservations are required. Seating is limited and the doors will open at 1:15 p.m.
This version of Cinderella, performed by the Secondhand Storytellers, with guidance from Kris Ault, Monroe Public Library's youth services coordinator, will have a new twist on an old classic. The story has all the usual characters, but things start looking grim when the Fairy Godmother neglects her duties.
For more information, contact the Monroe Public Library children's room at 608-328-7026 or visit www.monroepubliclibrary .org.
