Pre-Fright Night to host early Halloween fun

FREEPORT - The Freeport/Stephenson County Visitors Center will preview Halloween and fall events at a Pre-Fright Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Visitor's Center, located on Illinois U.S. 20, east of Freeport. A Haunted House Expo begins on Friday, Sept. 26 and runs through Halloween at the Center.

The Center, open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., offers a variety of information on other Halloween and fall activities in Stephenson County, including the Train of Terror, Stephenson County Barn Tour, Spirits of Yesteryear, Oakdale in October, the Haunted Bandshell, Fall Scenic Driving Tours and Northwest Illinois' Trail of Terror. Huron Garden and Farm Market has decorated the Center for fall and are offering pumpkins and gourds for sale at the Center.
